A warm welcome from Mike Winrow. As the Developer and Builder of the Better In Belize Eco Community, I sincerely hope that you will find our community a place to call home – on a full-time basis or as a second or vacation home. If you buy in Better In Belize, I’ll be one of your neighbours.
As the Developer of this Eco Community, I’m putting to work 30 years of extensive experience in building and developing real estate projects to make our community a model of architectural and environmental wonder. An avid scuba diver, my love affair with Belize began 15 years ago when I discovered the best diving in the world in Belize.
An inveterate traveler, I’ve journeyed all over North America and the Caribbean as Executive Producer and co-host of the “Power Boat Television Show” (which aired on TSN in the 90’s), along with participation in the #1 Boating magazine in Canada, “Today’s Boating”.
My worldwide business pursuits have taken me to far-flung places like Dubai in the Middle East. Closer to home, I owned a successful recording studio and television production company…and earned a Gold Record for songwriting. Friends, family, business colleagues and clients typify me as hard working, honest and exceptionally creative.

“ Ba'ax ka wa'alik” from Ron Dewhurst. My career in technology and business development spans 35 years, from co-designing an internationally recognized residential development to co-founding a highly successful “Next Generation” telecommunications company.
I've written for numerous trade magazines and have been a guest speaker at industry conferences to present my innovative business activities. Currently, I am involved in numerous ecological and non-profit business initiatives in Belize. Founding the Rainforest Carbon Remove Society was inspired by a spiritual and ecological vision that is so critically needed for our future generations.
With a certificate in “Sustainable Building in Design” from Yestermorrow Design/Build School, coupled with my developing Permaculture skills, my skill set is well-honed to help mould the “Better in Belize” eco community.

A world-renowned architect, Henry’s work has been featured in many notable publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times Architectural Supplement, Royal Architectural Journal, and Canadian Living magazine. A visionary genius, Natural Home & Garden magazine selected him as one of the top ten 'green' architects in North America in 2005. Better in Belize is delighted and honoured to have Henry Yorke Mann as a Member of our Advisory Board.
Henry is the son of a Master Builder, grandson of a Master Builder, and a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Architecture. Henry established his own architectural practice in 1962 and is a member in good standing with the Architectural Institute of B.C., and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

I have been involved with real estate sales & investment since 1989 and have been a consistent leader in the industry and a member of the K-W Real Estate Board, Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) and Canada Real Estate Association (CREA) .
My association with Looey Tremblay dates back to 1992 when we became business partners. Our association extends to working together selling Kitchener Waterloo real estate through RE/MAX Twin City Realty Inc. in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
Having travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America, I have come to love the land, the people and their culture which, ultimately, drew me to Belize.
My real estate activities include involvement with RE/MAX Belize Property Center, located in San Ignacio, Cayo, Belize. You will also find me working diligently on an exciting project in Honduras that overlooks the Caribbean Sea and Trujillo Bay.

I hold an Honors Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
My background includes Custom Home Design, Model and Spec Creation, Designing Interiors and Landscape Design. I work for a home builder assisting clients in creating their dream homes and really love my work!
I am passionate about sustainable architecture and strive to blend environmental awareness with people’s growing need and desire for beautiful residences located in natural habitats.
For our Belize project, I am pleased that we will be providing 30 acres of protected preserved rainforest along with a fair trade agriculture policy for the local farmers. We are mindful of being as minutely invasive as possible. In addition, we are planning for an eco-educational component in the future.
In the meantime, I am available to consult on your new home purchase in Belize. I offer decorating and design services and landscape consulting.
My role in the Better In Belize Eco Community is to work with our team to plan and produce the designs for our model homes and residences. We’ll be incorporating green technology throughout our designs – both interior and exterior. Our services include sourcing exquisite home furnishings and accessories, plus enhancing the landscape architecture.
